There are few qualification to become a Mason, but rather qualities you must possess. All Masons believe in the existence of a Supreme Being. Although Freemasonry is not a religion it is religious in nature and a man must possess a belief in deity.

You must be a male at least 18 years of age in most jurisdictions.
Be of good moral character.
You should be motivated to join for reasons unrelated to personal gain.
You should be desirous of gaining knowledge and willing to conform to all usages and customs of the fraternity.
